About the Author

The purpose of sharing my journey and experiences is to inspire others to break free from the limiting systems and beliefs that confine their potential, and to encourage them to seek their own unique path. Throughout my life, I have been driven by a deep desire for personal freedom and a passion for questioning the status quo. I want others to realize that they don’t need to follow the well-worn paths of those before them but can instead carve out their own, guided by inner truth and self-discovery.
My journey began with a constant questioning of the systems I was born into—religion, education, tradition, and societal expectations. Early experiences in school, where conformity was prioritized over individuality, and at home, where I faced inequality, planted the seeds of my lifelong quest to find and walk my own path.
After a decade working as an accountant, I found myself confined by the rigid structures of commerce. The routine of solving tax matters limited my freedom of thought, so I made a bold decision to change course. Transitioning into branding allowed me to explore creativity and self-expression. Ironically, many of my clients were religious institutions that I had previously encountered in my earlier career, this time revealing the business side of faith. I witnessed churches branding products like “healing oils” and “miracle salts,” and observed firsthand how belief systems were often exploited for profit.
During my time at college, I led a movement for personal freedom, challenging restrictive rules that limited students’ autonomy. I successfully campaigned to abolish gender-based visiting hours in student housing and fought for each student to have their own key, emphasizing personal responsibility. I also confronted racial segregation in public spaces, regularly challenging the discriminatory practices of restaurants designated for whites only. Though my efforts were often met with ridicule, they were crucial in raising awareness and sparking conversations around freedom and equality.
As a teacher, I came to understand that the education system, much like other rigid systems, often failed to nurture individuality. I realized that many students weren’t struggling because they didn’t understand their lessons, but because they were being forced to conform to a singular teaching method that didn’t respect their unique ways of learning. This reinforced my belief in the importance of recognizing each individual’s path and the freedom to think, learn, and grow in ways that resonate with one’s own truth.
My exploration of traditional healing was another profound chapter in my life. After being initiated as an ethnic healer, I found myself questioning the sustainability of the practice, the accuracy of the knowledge passed down, and the spirits that were invoked. Despite learning much, I couldn’t ignore my doubts. I eventually walked away from traditional healing and embraced spiritual healing, seeking a more authentic and holistic way to understand life, the universe, and consciousness.
At the core of my journey is a passion for freedom—freedom of thought, freedom of spirit, and freedom to pursue one’s own path. I have rejected the systems of conformity that seek to limit our potential and believe that true freedom comes from within. My purpose is to encourage others to explore their own truth, question the beliefs and systems they’ve been handed, and embrace the freedom to live a life that is true to themselves.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to my children, who have been integral to my journey. My daughter, who once intuitively sensed my need for a hand hoe while in the garden, reading my mind in silence. My first son, born with Down syndrome, inspired me to walk the path of healing, hoping to find ways to keep him well. My youngest son, whose very existence defied mainstream medical advice to abort, as I trusted my inner knowing over external prescriptions. His life is a testament to the resilience of spirit. And my oldest daughter, who remains steadfast in her belief that the figure in the Old Testament is indeed God, reminding me of the complexities of faith and the many paths one can walk.  Each of my children has added meaning and depth to my journey, teaching me love, resilience, and the importance of walking a path that feels true to oneself.
